Supporting the Mission

There are many reasons to give, but no one explains it better than Jesus. He said, in a paraphrase of Matthew 6:21, that your money is an indicator of the health of your life. Unhealthy people tend to hoard, to grasp and to live by the idea that there’s not enough to go around. Healthy people tend to give, to look out for others and live by the idea that there’s an abundance of resources for everyone. Every time you give you’re making a decision about the health of your life. Don’t feel pressured. Do what you think you should do. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says it this way, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion…”
